Specific Need

Repair of structure and needed upgrades . Our center was built in the early 1980's and is in need of repairs and upgrades . The soffit , facia and guttering on the center needs replacement . Lighting on the interior needs upgrading . Our storage shed needs to be replaced or an alternative storage area built . We have painted the interior and replaced the blinds along with new exterior lighting for safety and new storm doors . We have also replaced several kitchen appliances which were the original appliances from the 80's . These repairs over the past year have depleted our funds .

Mission

The Paxico Area Senior Citizens Organization represents and prioritizes the needs of older persons in the community . It also serves as a meeting and gathering area for the community at large as well as the area voting precinct .

Profile

The Paxico Area Senior Citizens Organization , Inc is a non profit 501(c)3 organization . We meet on the 4th Friday of the month at noon for a potluck dinner as well as a business meeting and entertainment . We also host a potluck and a pitch game at 6:30 pm on the 1st and 3rd Monday of every month.

Our center has been used for the last 40 years as a gathering place not ony for the elderly of our community but as a community gathering place . We have hosted countless family reunions as well as bridal and baby showers , graduation and birthday parties .

Paxico Senior Center has been an integral part of our community for family as well as governmental meetings . It is a vital asset that has served for generations and will hopefully serve for many more .
